Chopin competition
Every 5 years the most prominent young pianists from all around the world fly to Poland to take part in the Chopin Competition.

The Asian Chopin the most spectacular one
In 1980 the Vietnamese Dang Thai Son was the first pianist from Asia to achieve the competition’s Gold Medal. In the finale he played with an orchestra for the first time in his life.

The Witcher
The Witcher is a series of fantasy novels created by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The lead hero is Geralt of Rivia who appears for the first time in a 1986 short story titled “The Last Wish.”
The game
In 2007 the Witcher has been readapted into a computer game by an up-and-coming gaming studio CD Projekt RED. The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt became a global gaming phenomenon and one of the best role-playing games of all time.
Netflix
The Witcher universe finally expanded in 2019 into a 8-episode TV series produced by Netflix. The show was one of the most successful Netflix original productions.

The best known Polish astronomer is Nicolaus Copernicus. However, in modern times, Polish scientists are involved in astronomical projects that span all over the world.
Telescope producers
Polish telescopes are located in many observatories all around the world. Three telescopes in Poland are part of the LOFAR (Low-Frequency-Array) — a large radio telescope international network.
Outstanding projects
OGLE is the key Polish astronomical project which studies the sky variability for almost 30 years. ALMA is currently the largest telescope in the world. Its purpose is to study star formation, molecular clouds and the early Universe.

The Poland Pavilion's main installation is “The Polish Table.” Inspired by the symbolism of the Polish table, it's a place where people and stories can meet. It's a unique work of art, created from the raw materials characteristic of our country.
Ceramics are based on clay and glaze. When the clay is dry, you start glazing, and then put it in the oven to transform. The entire process involved a number of people.
Copper and silver
Poland is ranked among the countries that hold the largest anticipated economic resources of silver and copper, respectively. Moreover, Poland is a leading producer of electrolytic copper, and a leader in silver production.
Glass and wood

The Łódź region lies in central Poland. Its capital is the multicultural and modern city of Łódź. In 2017, Łódź became part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, and was also named a UNESCO City of Film. Lonely Planet named Łódź the 2nd Best Value Destination for 2019.
Lubuskie region
The Lubuskie region is Poland's most densely forested, and is rich in natural attractions — including a national park, historic buildings (like Łagów Castle), and former military sites. The region has two capitals: Zielona Góra and Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The Christmas wafer
Made of flour and water, the Christmas wafer is embossed with a religious image. At a Polish Christmas celebration, each person receives a wafer. Before sitting down to eat, they share pieces of it with everyone else, accompanied by good wishes. The tradition is linked to the breaking of bread at the Last Supper.
