The temporary exhibition is inspired by the Polish tradition of sharing the Christmas wafer.
This traditional ritual of the Polish Christmas table continues to be practiced today. The moment of “offering wishes” with the wafer is at once family-oriented, symbolic and intuitively understood across cultures.
The exhibition features Christmas wafers as imagined by some of Poland’s top designers. Contemporary patterns and images appear on the wafers in an interpretation of universal terms and values, which are understood around the world — such as love, respect and peace.
The exhibition is organized by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute.
